let me tell you the wonder
of the untended garden<\/p>\n\n\n\n
at first it may seem neglected
abused even<\/p>\n\n\n\n
but sit within its walls
sift your fingers through the soil
notice the quality<\/p>\n\n\n\n
seeds hide in the depths
waiting in dormancy
for the right chance to bloom<\/p>\n\n\n\n
there is vibrancy in the wildness
there is strength in the tenacity<\/p>\n\n\n\n
you clear a seat
you remove a weed
one at a time<\/p>\n\n\n\n
the work is not done in a day
but the more you explore
the more wonder you find<\/p>\n\n\n\n
a plant you\u2019ve never identified
a native that is medicinal
a dandelion in the cracks
showing its resiliency<\/p>\n\n\n\n
its deep taproot bringing up nutrients
to share pollen with a bee<\/p>\n\n\n\n
its leaves will decompose
enriching the soil
for the plants yet to come<\/p>\n\n\n\n
the more you tend
the more you discover
the more you realize
the endless potential<\/p>\n\n\n\n
there is a history here
a broken shovel
a decorative pot<\/p>\n\n\n\n
you get to choose what to keep
and what to discard<\/p>\n\n\n\n
your greatest tool is not your effort
it is observation<\/p>\n\n\n\n
where does the light shine
what enriches the ecosystem around it
what is vulnerable and needs protection
what is valuable but needs pruning<\/p>\n\n\n\n
your garden has been working this whole time
its beauty waiting to be revealed<\/p>\n\n\n\n
the soil is rich
the diversity part resilient
and part dormant<\/p>\n\n\n\n
this is your sanctuary<\/p>\n\n\n\n
you decide what to celebrate
and what to compost<\/p>\n\n\n\n
it all serves a purpose
even if we don\u2019t know
what it is yet<\/p>\n\n\n\n
weeds are not inherently bad
they tell us something
about the quality of the soil
and the environment around us<\/p>\n\n\n\n
we choose how to best use them<\/p>\n\n\n\n
