somewhere
far from speeches and bright stages
a tree releases a leaf<\/p>\n\n\n\n
no audience
no announcement<\/p>\n\n\n\n
just the small courage
of letting go<\/p>\n\n\n\n
the wind does not ask why<\/p>\n\n\n\n
it only carries<\/p>\n\n\n\n
all over the world
quiet endings are happening<\/p>\n\n\n\n
a shoreline reshaping itself
a field turning its color
a bird lifting from a wire
because the sky has room for it<\/p>\n\n\n\n
none of them call it loss<\/p>\n\n\n\n
they call it movement<\/p>\n\n\n\n
for a long time
many of us believe
that holding is the same thing as loving<\/p>\n\n\n\n
we tighten our fingers
around the fragile glow
of something that mattered<\/p>\n\n\n\n
a season
a gathering
a long shared effort
built out of laughter and stubborn hope<\/p>\n\n\n\n
and for a while
the hands are exactly where they need to be<\/p>\n\n\n\n
steady
tired
faithful<\/p>\n\n\n\n
until one day
the body remembers
that love was never meant
to be a fist<\/p>\n\n\n\n
it was always meant
to be an open palm<\/p>\n\n\n\n
something that can hold warmth
for a while<\/p>\n\n\n\n
and then
with gratitude
release it back into the world<\/p>\n\n\n\n
this is how forests survive
how rivers keep singing
how human stories continue
long after the first voices grow quiet<\/p>\n\n\n\n
someone steps forward
someone steps aside<\/p>\n\n\n\n
the light keeps moving<\/p>\n\n\n\n
not because anyone failed it<\/p>\n\n\n\n
but because it was always alive<\/p>\n\n\n\n
and living things
do not stay still<\/p>\n\n\n\n
they travel
through one set of hands
into another<\/p>\n\n\n\n
until the horizon itself
learns how to glow<\/p>\n\n\n\n
